Andrew shouts out the Two Brews Podcast early on, started by Matt Gadaus and Kris Jarrett, check their archives out at http://twobrewspodcast.weebly.com/
Andrew and Eric discuss their history with craft beer and namely, Vermont Beer. Andrew lived in Haiti, Toronto, Belfast, Rwanda, Burundi and Asheville, NC and then got into beer started a wee late, in 2006, due to his missionary work. Eric, meanwhile, started drinking craft beer when he turned 21 in 1996. Mentioning Long Trail, Catamount, Magic Hat and the Vermont Pub and Brewery, one of the oldest brewpubs in the United States, originally founded by Greg Noonan (RIP) along the way.
Eric ponders to Andy "If you find Jesus, do you lose Jesus?", but we promise not to riff on politics or religion.
Andrew and Eric talk about breweries that got into the craft beer game ahead of the curve, namely Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada, that are losing market share because they're not longer viewed as a small, independent craft brewer.
While sharing a Collective Arts Stranger Than Fiction Porter, Eric states it's a wonderful time to be a beer drinker, while bemoaning the current costs of craft beer, with $72 a case becoming the new norm.
Beyond Lawson's, Hill Farmstead, and The Alchemist, Andrew and Eric D. talk quickly about some of the other great Vermont breweries including Fiddlehead, Foley Brothers, Zero Gravity, Foam Brewers, Upper Pass, Bent Hill, Four Quarters, Hermit Thrush, River Roost, Good Measure, Rock Art, Lost Nation and Ten Bends.

Podcast: Episode #000
Subtitle: Riff On What?
Post Date: December 12, 2017
Hosts: Andrew James and Eric D.
Show Notes: Co-hosts Andrew James (@OneWhoSeesDimly) and Eric D. (@HopSnobbery) launch their podcast, Riff On, with episode 000, titled 'Riff On What'.
Riff, in it's most common definition is a noun and defined as a short repeated phrase in popular music and jazz, typically used as an introduction or refrain in a song. As Andy is a singer/songwriter and Eric D. is a self-confessed musical snob, this definition fits them well. However, riff is also a verb and can be defined as a monologue or spoken improvisation, especially a humorous one, on a particular subject.
"subsequent riffs on the same themes fail to amuse"
So, Riff On will be about both of these definitions.
We're going to talk music. And beer. And sports. And Vermont. And social media. And marketing. And pop culture. And more music. And more beer. And more sports. And really any subject that catches our eye or brain.
